A sweet vintage turquoise, diamond and tsavorite garnet bird brooch set in 14k yellow gold. 

The brooch depicts a bird sitting on a branch with the main body being composed of a single cabochon turquoise stone. The turquoise is encased be a yellow gold wing and claws mimicking feet. The birds head and tail are set with round cut tsavorite garnets in a black rhodium setting which beautifully contrasts against the yellow gold and turquoise. Lastly the bird is detailed with a yellow gold beak and round brilliant cut diamond eye. 

The brooch is secured to reverse with a pin and hook fitting. Due to the size, the piece could be worn for a variety of occasions.

For size reference, the brooch measures 1.3 x 2.9 centimetres (from the widest points) and weighs 3.7 grams. The diamond within the eye has a carat weight of 0.01, The bird is not hallmarked however has been tested for 14k gold.
