Certina S.A., a distinguished Swiss watch brand, traces its roots back to 1888 in Grenchen. Founded by visionary brothers Adolf and Alfred Kurth, they established a pioneering movement and supplies factory that catered to the watchmaking industry in Switzerland. In 1906, a remarkable milestone was achieved as Certina began producing complete watches, introducing the brand name "Grana" to the world.

The brand's commitment to excellence was recognized in 1924 when Certina became officially registered at the Federal Office of Intellectual Property on 15 February. As time progressed, Certina continued to flourish, creating an extensive range of exceptional timepieces under its esteemed name.

We are excited to present a truly collectible and fascinating timepiece: a Vintage Certina Argonaut Automatic wristwatch from the 1970s.

This self-winding timepiece boasts an original Certina automatic movement caliber 25-651 with 27 jewels, featuring a sweep-second hand, a date indicator, a 44-hour power reserve, and operates at 19,800 A/h. Swiss made.

This watch retains its original black dial, shows some light patina and age, featuring silver luminous baton hour markers, a prominent orange minute/second track, and complementary with luminous matching white/orange hands. The date window is positioned at 3 o'clock, with "Automatic" and "Argonaut 200M" inscribed on the dial.

Encased in a 39mm stainless steel cushion case with bidirectional black elapsed time bezel. Original signed crown.

It comes on a stainless-steel bracelet fitting wrists up to 7 1/2" (19.1 cm), seamlessly blending comfort and style.

This captivating vintage Certina wristwatch is in very good condition and would make a great addition to any vintage collection.
